Behaviour Policy
Why do we have a behaviour policy?
Our Behaviour Policy has been created to ensure that all our staff and guests enjoy our events. We aim to provide an inclusive environment where our staff and guests can feel comfortable. In order for this to be possible, we have outlined the following behaviours that are not considered to be appropriate to the group and will therefore not be tolerated.
Abusive Language
Abusive language directed aggressively at staff members or other guests will not be tolerated. Whilst we all may use strong language occasionally, directing abusive language at another customer or staff member in a threatening manner will not be tolerated. Any guests exhibiting this behaviour will be removed and prohibited from attending future events.
Violent behaviour
Violent behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes kicking, punching, spitting, pulling of hair, scratching, and any other behaviour which causes harm, pain or intimidation to other guests or staff members. Any guests exhibiting this behaviour towards staff members or other guests will be removed and prohibited from attending future events.
Threatening behaviour
Any behaviour that is used to make our staff members or guests feel intimidated, such as inappropriate and offensive hand gestures, or any other behaviour that is considered to be aggressive, will not be tolerated. Any guests exhibiting this behaviour will be removed and prohibited from attending future events.
General interaction
We expect our staff and guests to treat each other with respect and kindness at all times. We are keen to promote an environment where our guests feel comfortable and relaxed with the minimum amount of stress. We understand new environments and new situations can trigger anxiety, and we will do our best to help our guests to deal with this in a safe and calm manner. We do not believe that anxiety is a valid reason for aggression to be directed at other guests.
If, after reading our policy, you feel that this group is right for you, or for someone you care for, confirm that you have read and understood the policy on the registration form. If you feel like you or the person you care about would not be able to apply by our behaviour policy, we apologise, but we will be unable to admit them to the group at this time. We wish you the best in finding an alternative group suitable for them.
